Granite surface plate — a flat reference surface for precision measurement, marking and fixture setup in QC, metrology lab and toolroom.

Application:
- checking flatness and straightness of parts
- marking blanks with a surface gauge and square
- setting indicator stands, height gauges and vee blocks for measurements
- checking and setting tools and fixtures

Features:
- granite does not rust and needs no oiling, unlike a cast-iron plate
- an accidental impact leaves a chip-out, not a raised bruise — the surrounding plane is not disturbed
- the stone is non-magnetic

Care:
- wipe the surface free of dust and chips before work
- place parts, do not drop them; cover after work
