Hand taper reamers with straight flutes
Description
Hand taper reamer with 1:50 taper — the standard taper of taper pins. Reams a hole for a taper pin in assembled parts so the pin seats tightly along its full length and locks the parts precisely relative to each other.
Application:
- holes for taper pins when assembling units and fitting housing parts
- restoring pin holes during repair
- machining structural steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals
Features:
- straight flutes — the reamer is not drawn into the hole and removes metal evenly along the taper
- shank with square for tap wrench
Application procedure:
1) assemble the parts and fix in the required position
2) drill through both parts a hole to the small pin diameter
3) ream with the wrench, rotating only clockwise, with lubricant; clear chips periodically
4) check depth by trial fit of the pin: by hand it should enter most of its length, the rest is driven with a hammer
