Polyurethane sealant for separable joints Hylomar Universal Blue PL32, 100 g

Non-curing gasket sealant based on polyether urethane. Does not set or harden even at high temperature, so the assembly is easy to dismantle and assembly time is unlimited — parts can be aligned precisely.

Application:
- sealing metal–metal and plastic–plastic joints
- water and oil pumps, intake manifolds, timing drive covers
- cylinder heads, oil pans, inspection covers
- gearboxes and transmissions, gas turbines, water-cooled generators
- thread sealing and coating ready-made gaskets
- sealing electric motors and outdoor high-voltage switches

Features:
- resistant to petrol, kerosene, oils, water and salt water, antifreeze (water/glycol), methanol, engine combustion products and freons
- when heated does not release substances that darken copper and silver — suitable for joints next to contacts and switches
- non-flammable; contains dichloromethane

Application procedure:
1) clean and dry the surfaces
2) apply a thin layer or bead on one or both surfaces
3) allow the solvent to evaporate
4) assemble the unit and tighten fasteners; later they may need retightening to the required torque

Disassembly:
Residues are removed with a cloth moistened with acetone — scraping is not needed.

Storage:
In a cool dry ventilated place at 5–25 °C.
