Inductive method
The method allows detecting AC voltage in an insulated wire. To do this place a finger on the «Inductive test» field and bring the tip to the insulated wire. A lightning symbol on the LCD display indicates the presence of voltage. This method also allows «contactless» detection of a break in a live electrical wire. At the moment of interruption the tester will stop signalling the presence of voltage.

Wire continuity check
We check cable integrity by applying the tester tip to one end of the cable, then, holding the «Contact check» field, gripping the other end of the cable. When the LED diode lights up, this means integrity of the cable under test. It is forbidden to use this method to check continuity of live wires or in an electrical circuit
