*The square-wave generator helps when diagnosing headphones or loudspeakers, and a special microampere current measurement setting allows testing various sensor types, for example flame sensors in HVAC devices

TRUE RMS - a meter with this function calculates the true RMS value of AC voltage and current for both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal signals. The device first measures the real value of the sine wave over several time intervals → then squares the measurement results → sums them → calculates the average → and finally the square root is taken from the average result. The measurement result is the true RMS value of voltage / current even for a distorted sine or square wave.
AUTO - automatic measurement range adjustment.
RANGE - manual change of measurement range. A useful function when checking many identical components with a known value, for example a series of resistors. Manual range setting will significantly shorten the time of such measurements.
