Vices & Clamps

Vices and clamps hold the workpiece for sawing, drilling, welding and glueing. The section includes bench swivel vices 100–250 mm, including with anvil and two-axis, clamp-on vices 50 and 65 mm, machine vices 100–135 mm for a drill press, inclinable and precision vices, pipe vices, F-clamps from 200 to 800 mm, C-clamps 50–75 mm, quick-release and wide-jaw clamps, a spring clamp and soft magnetic jaw pads.

For the workbench the usual choice is a 100 mm swivel vice with anvil; for large workpieces — a 250 mm swivel vice. For a drill press — 120 mm machine vices; to avoid crushing parts, fit soft magnetic jaw pads. Clamp parts to the table with an F-clamp 250 mm or C-clamp 50 mm; hold pipes with pipe vices. To clamp a part quickly with one hand, use locking pliers.
