Pipe and chain wrenches hold and turn pipes, fittings and round parts that a spanner cannot grip. The section includes straight-jaw pipe wrenches from 250 to 1200 mm for pipes up to Ø 150 mm, with aluminium and extendable handles, 90° and 45° V-jaw gas wrenches, German-style pipe wrenches, offset, self-locking and adjustable, chain pipe wrenches for pipes up to Ø 300 mm and chain welding tongs.

For plumbing the usual choice is a straight-jaw pipe wrench: from 300 mm for Ø 38 mm pipes to 1200 mm for Ø 150 mm. A gas wrench with 90° jaws — for Ø 25–50 mm pipes; there are also gas wrenches with V-jaws. For large-diameter pipes — a chain pipe wrench for Ø 33–300 mm. Small nuts and fittings are convenient to hold with water pump pliers.
